Mission
Artemis Labs exists to solve agentic autonomy, and in doing so, to remove the oldest constraint on human progress.
Everything humanity has ever achieved was achieved by work. Every city, every cure, every discovery is the product of minds applied to problems over time. And every shortfall in our history, every famine that was not prevented, every disease that was not cured, every life that ended earlier than it should have, traces back to the same root: there was never enough capacity to do all the work that needed doing.
For ten thousand years, the only way to expand what civilization could do was to add more people. We are going to change that.
What we are building
Agentic autonomy is the ability to manufacture work itself: artificial minds that plan, act, coordinate, and improve entirely on their own. Not tools that wait for instructions. Workers that carry outcomes, around the clock, at whatever scale the problem demands.
When autonomy is solved, the limits of civilization change. A company of ten people will operate with the force of ten thousand. Research that would take a century will compress into years. Every problem that was bottlenecked on human attention becomes a problem bottlenecked only on ambition.
We believe autonomous intelligence is the most consequential technology humanity will ever build. We believe it will be built within a generation. The question is not whether. The question is who, and how well.
How we will do it
Artemis Labs is structured to win a problem of this size.
The laboratory holds the research program: the long, compounding work of making machines trustworthy with the world. The companies we create carry that work into reality. Each one takes a solved layer of autonomy and deploys it at scale, with real users, real responsibility, and real consequences.
Verse is the first. It builds autonomous employees from a single prompt and puts them to work inside businesses today. One agent, one job, held completely. The companies that follow will be larger: autonomous organizations, autonomous industries, autonomy as the operating system of the world economy.
Research becomes companies. Companies become infrastructure. Infrastructure becomes the way the world works.
The horizon
We measure this mission in decades, and we have built the laboratory to last that long. What we are building compounds: every layer of autonomy makes the next one possible, every company funds the next frontier, every year of accumulated trust widens the gap between us and everyone who starts later.
By the time this work is finished, the idea that progress must wait for human hands will seem as distant as the idea that calculation must wait for clerks. Disease, scarcity, and stagnation are not permanent features of the world. They are unfinished work.
Artemis Labs intends to finish it.
